Prior to joining Anamet, James was a part of the Imaging Nanofunctionality research group under Professor van Benthem at the University of California, Davis.
B.S., Materials Science and Engineering, University of California, Davis, 2015
Recent projects in which James has been involved include:
- Metallurgical evaluation of Alloy 800HT hydrogen furnace tubes that identified creep voids and fissures
- Metallurgical evaluation of 2205 duplex stainless steel cap tubing from a geothermal plant that failed by fatigue cracking that initiated on the inside surface
- Metallurgical evaluation of 2507 duplex stainless steel process piping in hot brine service that pitted due to precipitation of intermetallic and nitride compounds, and cracked near girth welds by stress corrosion cracking
